Training Season Approaches

I just finished helping out at a second TNT information session. The first one, at the Santa Clara Hyatt, was the same place where Sandi and I signed up for our first triathlon with TNT. I went there straight from the airport after returning from a business trip. There were quite a few prospective participants there, and I think most who came to the tri session signed up. Ditto for the session today at the Willows Senior Center. We're going to have a great group in the tri team!

Some were showing the same trepidation about triathlon that I remember feeling. I told them one thought that kept me going: however difficult the challenges they'll face training for their first triathlon, it's nothing compared to the struggles and challenges faced by the people the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society aims to help.

We have it easy! And the group of coaches, captains (me included!), and mentors will make it even easier and a helluva lot more fun!

David has just been accepted as a Training Captain for the upcoming Team in Training Spring Season preparing for the Wildflower and King's Trail Triathlons.

It's time for David to get some new shoes and get ready to crush his old time at Wildflower 2006!
